Thoughtful gifts for Valentines Day

Thoughtful gifts for Valentines Day

If you struggle when it comes to selecting the perfect gift, Valentine’s Day can come around all too quickly! No sooner have you sorted your beloved’s Christmas presents, than it’s time to rack your brains for a romantic gesture that will impress.

Forget flowers and chocolates: this year it’s time to get personal. Check out our gift guide below and you’ll have your beau’s heart aflutter in no time!

Digital photo frame

Buying for a tech lover? A digital photo frame combines your affection for the recipient with their adoration of gadgets. Simply load up a USB stick or memory card with all of their favourite photos and watch as they reminisce about past holidays, birthdays, special events and more.

The great thing is you can keep adding photos to the storage device over time, so there’s no end to the memories you can make.

From digital delights to traditional tokens of affection, scrapbooks are a great way of impressing your love with your sentimental side.

Fill your scrapbook with everything from ticket stubs to notes, photographs and mementos, anything that will make their heart skip a beat. Invest in coloured paper, metallic pens and other craft supplies to really show off your artistic flair. Don’t forget to make sure your items are properly stuck down to avoid any pieces getting lost!

We recommend leaving a few pages at the end of your scrapbook, so your partner can document more memories in the future.

Tub of love

The final entry on our list is possibly the sweetest. Everyone likes a compliment, so purchase a small plastic tub and fill it with little notes for your beloved to open each day. From compliments to memories and quotes, it’s up to you what you write on the slips of paper, just make sure they’re thoughtful and enjoyable.

We suggest writing at least 31 notes so your partner can enjoy the tub of love for a whole month. Or, if you’re really feeling creative, you could write 365 for a bumper year of affection.
